About OUR Shadsworth BRANCH
In 2016 The success of Darwen led us to open another centre for childcare – Shadsworth Rd Blackburn, which continues the same principles that made us such a success at Darwen.
The nursery is set out over two floors offering three base rooms for the children to explore with a dedicated outdoor play area enabling children to participate in sports, gardening and other outdoor activities.
why choose peek a boo?
Here at Peek A Boo Day care we use the early years foundation stage (EYFS) to plan individual learning experiences based on your child’s interests and developmental needs. We use our stimulating learning environments and range of resources to provide fun activities your child can enjoy. Weekly and monthly plans are created using children’s interests, opinions and developmental needs with keyworkers creating a termly summary for parents to review.
We use an online system called ‘capture’ where each parent has access to their child’s learning and developmental journey, this is where you can share your child’s news from home and can be accessed on your mobile phone or any internet active device.
Building a bond
All children who attend Peek A Boo Day Care will be allocated a keyworker who will support both yours and your child’s needs. They will build a strong bond with your child helping them to feel safe and secure, supporting them through their learning and development. Your child’s keyworker will create individual planning for your child along with creating a learning journal.
We encourage parents to share as much information with their child’s keyworker to ensure we are providing the best possible care for you and your child.
what makes us special?
For toddlers, we have two cots and cozy blankets so your children can sleep during the day.
Outdoor play is highly encouraged and planned within your child’s daily routine. This gives them to chance to play sports and get involved in other outdoor activities.
We encourage all parents to get involved with their child’s play session! We invite parents to a take part in some activities with your child each month.
